Tollywood Superstar Mahesh Babu’s speech at the Globe Trotter event was short but impactful. Mahesh started off his speech by remembering his late father, the legendary Superstar Krishna’s words. “My father always used to tell me – you look quite good in (mythological) getups. Do one film at least. But I never listened to him. Today, he must be listening to me,” said an emotional Mahesh.
Mahesh went on to say that he will give his all and work hard for Varanasi. “I will make everyone proud. Most importantly, I’ll make my director the most proud. The whole of India will be proud of us when Varanasi releases. This is just the title announcement and first reveal. There is so much in store for you in the near future. I am leaving that to your imagination,” Mahesh said, urging everyone to reach home safely.
In Varanasi, Mahesh plays a character named Rudra. The powerful and intriguing glimpse video showcased Mahesh in a fierce avatar, as he carries a trident and rides a bull (Nandi). The film’s director, Rajamouli, revealed that Mahesh will be seen in Lord Sri Rama’s look in a crucial sequence in Varanasi. Also starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran in lead roles, Varanasi is being produced by KL Narayana, and the film is scheduled for a summer 2027 release.
