Ajith’s latest outing, Vidaamuyarchi, is underperforming at the box office. The action thriller directed by Magizh Thirumeni received mixed reviews from critics, and it is an outright disaster in Telugu. Many opined that Vidaamuyarchi shouldn’t have been done by a star hero since the film lacked high moments.
According to the latest update from Kollywood circles, talented director Nithilan Saminathan is holding discussions with Ajith. Nithilan directed the critically acclaimed Maharaja, which was also a commercial blockbuster. Maharaja even managed to win the hearts of the Chinese audience.
It is said that Nithilan narrated an idea to Ajith and that the latter liked it. Whether or not Ajith gives his nod remains to be seen. The actor’s next on-screen appearance will be in Good Bad Ugly, which is slated for release on April 10. This gangster action drama is directed by Adhik Ravichandran of Mark Antony fame.
