RGV’s apology to Chiranjeevi, fans call it a bit too late

Ahead of the re-release of Shiva, megastar Chiranjeevi shared a heartfelt video praising the cult classic and its impact on Indian cinema.

Responding to this, director Ram Gopal Varma took to social media to thank Chiranjeevi and also issued a public apology, writing, “Thank you ⁦@KChiruTweets⁩ gaaru. I sincerely apologise if I ever unintentionally offended you. Thank you once again for your large-heartedness.”

However, fans were not entirely pleased with RGV’s gesture. Many on social media called it ‘too little, too late’, reminding that the director had mocked and criticized Chiranjeevi multiple times over the years.

They felt that a single apology cannot undo the disrespect shown earlier, though some appreciated RGV for finally realizing his mistake.
