Senior character artist Brahmaji turns protagonist with the upcoming rural drama, Baapu. The film’s theatrical trailer was released on Wednesday evening, and it is getting a decent response from movie enthusiasts.
Baapu trailer offers a whirlwind of emotions. The way the everyday struggles of an agrarian family in a remote Telangana village are portrayed adds a poignant touch to the trailer. Brahmaji shoulders the responsibility of his father, son, and daughter amid heavy losses incurred in agriculture and loan sharks going after him. There is also a beautiful love story in the midst of a heartbreaking father-son story.
While RR Dhruvan’s soul-stirring background score adds depth to this intense story, Vasu Pendem’s cinematography brings out the authenticity of rural Telangana.
Baapu is directed by Daya and produced by Raju and Bhanu Prasad Reddy under the Comrade Film Factory banner. Also starring Amani, Sudhakar Reddy, Dhanya Balakrishna, Mani Aegurla, and Avasarala Srinivas in key roles, Baapu is hitting theaters worldwide on February 21.
