Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, directed by Prashanth Neel of the KGF franchise fame and featuring the renowned actor Prabhas in the lead role, is one of the most highly anticipated Indian movies of 2023. The film’s teaser was released yesterday and caused a sensation online.
The teaser of Salaar made waves as it shattered records to become the most-viewed Indian teaser ever released. However, despite its remarkable feat, Salaar fell short of surpassing the record previously set by Yash’s KGF Chapter 2. In the first 24 hours, the Salaar teaser garnered just over 1.6 million likes, while the KGF 2 teaser amassed a staggering 4.2 million likes and more during the same timeframe.
Some fans defended that this discrepancy was due to the teaser’s unconventional release time. Ultimately, Salaar finds itself trailing behind KGF 2 in the game of likes.
Shruti Haasan stars as the heroine in this movie, which also features Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sriya Reddy, Eeswari Rao, and Jagapathi Babu in crucial roles. Hombale Films financed this production on a massive budget, while Ravi Basrur serves as the music director. Salaar is scheduled to hit cinemas worldwide on September 28, 2023.
