Kalyani Priyadarshan’s Lokah: Chapter 1- Chandra is going great guns at the box office. To support Lokah, its producer, Dulquer Salmaan, has even postponed his new film Kaantha. The movie, directed by Dominic Arun, has recently surpassed the Rs. 200 crore landmark at the worldwide box office.
By today, Lokah crossed the Rs. 75 crore gross mark at the Kerala box office. Only seven films before Lokah achieved this feat. It’s been two weeks since the movie hit theatres, yet it is still drawing crowds in significant numbers. It remains to be seen if the superhero film can reach the Rs. 100 crore mark in Kerala during its lifetime.
Not just in Kerala, Lokah has also found acceptance among Telugu and Tamil audiences, propelling the movie to bigger success. Naslen and Sandy Master played prominent roles, while Jakes Bejoy composed the tunes. The second part of this superhero franchise will be headlined by Tovino Thomas.
