Varalaxmi Sarathkumar stars in the upcoming film Sabari, her second pan-Indian project following the blockbuster Hanu-Man this year. Scheduled for release on May 3, 2024, Sabari promises an intriguing cinematic experience.
Director Anil Katz, making his debut with this film, shared insights into the project. When asked about his choice of Varalaxmi Sarathkumar as the lead, he praised her as an immensely gifted actress, adding that it’s been delightful to work with her.
He further expressed admiration for her off-screen persona, describing her as usually composed, which he found fitting for her role in the film. Katz emphasized that she agreed to the project after just one sitting, highlighting her dedication and enthusiasm.
Produced by Mahendra Nath Kondla under the banner of Maha Movies and presented by Maharshi Kondla, Sabari is a psychological thriller enriched with emotional depth. The film boasts a talented ensemble cast, including Ganesh Venkatraman, Shashank, Maim Gopi, Sunayana, Rajashree Nair, Madhunandan, and Rashika Bali (Bombay). Gopi Sundar is the music director.
