Kalyani Priyadarshan’s Lokah continues to make good moolah at the box office. The movie directed by Dominic Arun was also successful in Telugu and Tamil. After crossing Rs. 50 crore landmark in Kerala, Lokah has now become the fourth Malayalam film to earn Rs. 200 crores gross worldwide.
Lokah is the second fastest Rs. 200 crore grosser from Mollywood after Empuraan. Before Lokah, Manjummel Boys (Rs. 242 crores), Empuraan (Rs. 268 crores), and Thudarum (Rs. 235 crores) breached this record milestone. At this pace, Lokah has every chance to become the all-time top two grosser in Malayalam history, crossing Thudarum and Manjummel Boys.
Lokah is the first female-led South Indian film to surpass Rs. 100 crores and Rs. 200 crores. The movie produced by Dulquer Salmaan also stars Naslen and Sandy Master in significant roles. Jakes Bejoy is the music composer for this superhero entertainer.
