OTT releases this week: Lokah, Kishkindhapuri, Final Destination Bloodlines & more on Jio Hotstar, ZEE5, and other platforms

This Diwali season, some exciting content is set to arrive on OTT platforms. Here’s a curated list of notable releases that you can look forward to this festive weekend.

How To Train Your Dragon:

How to Train Your Dragon is an American fantasy adventure film and a live-action remake of the 2010 animated film. Directed by Dean DeBlois, the film received positive reviews and has been commercially successful, grossing $635.7 million worldwide. The movie arrived on Jio Hotstar yesterday in English, Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi languages.

Final Destination Bloodlines:

The sixth installment of the Final Destination series, directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, received positive reviews and grossed $314.9 million worldwide. The horror film will be up for streaming from October 16 on Jio Hotstar.

Kiskindhapuri:

The latest hit horror thriller Kishkindhapuri stars Bellamkonda Sreenivas and Anupama Parameswaran in the lead roles. Directed by Koushik Pellagapati, the horror film will be available for streaming from October 17 on ZEE5. There is a good anticipation among the OTT viewers for this flick.

Lokah:

Lokah is the new industry hit of the Mollywood industry, with over Rs. 300 crores gross. The superhero film produced by Dominic Arun will most likely make its OTT debut on Jio Hotstar on October 17. Directed by Dominic Arun, the movie is headlined by Kalyani Priyadarshan, while it also features Naslen and Sandy Master in crucial roles.

Santosh:

Written and directed by British-Indian filmmaker Sandhya Suri, the Hindi-language police procedural crime drama was denied certification for theatrical release in India. The movie premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and was also the U.K.’s official entry for the Oscars’ international feature category. Santosh will be available for streaming from October 17 on Lionsgate Play.

Bhagawat Chapter One: Raakshas

The Hindi language investigative crime thriller directed by Akshay Sher features Arshad Warsi in the lead role. The movie is about a troubled police officer who investigates the case of a missing girl, which leads him to uncover a prostitution racket. The film will stream from October 17 on ZEE5.

Anandalahari:

Aha is coming up with a rom-com entertainer titled Anandalahari. The movie, backed by Suresh Productions, is about what happens when two drastically different people from East Godavari and West Godavari tie the knot. The movie featuring Abhishek Boddepalli and Bramarambika streams from October 17.
