National Award-winning Sandalwood actor-director Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 has emerged as a huge money-spinner at the worldwide box office. The film has surpassed the Rs 500 crore milestone and is continuing its decent run in India and overseas.
And here’s an interesting tidbit. Kollywood star filmmaker Atlee recently revealed that he was in Amsterdam when Kantara Chapter 1 was released and that he drove two and a half hours to watch the movie’s first day first show. Atlee went on to reveal that he immediately called Rishab Shetty after watching the movie and congratulated him. Atlee went on to add that Rishab is a good friend and someone he has great respect for.
On the work front, Atlee is busy helming Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone’s highly anticipated sci-fi thriller, tentatively titled AA22xA6. On the other hand, Rishab Shetty is on a Kantara Chapter 1 promotional tour across North India. He will soon be seen in the latest episode of Amitabh Bachchan’s KBC.
