Recent thriller Sookshmadarshini marked Nazriya’s return to Malayalam cinema after a gap of four years. Directed by MC Jithin and starring Basil Joseph in another lead role, the movie hit the big screens recently. Thanks to the favorable reviews, Sookshmadarshini took a good start at the box office.
After a solid first weekend, Sookshmadarshini had a steady run on the weekdays. Again, during the second weekend, the movie witnessed a jump in collections, and as per the latest update, the Nazriya starrer has stormed past the Rs. 50 crore gross mark at the worldwide box office.
While the performance at the Kerala box office is decent, the movie overpowered in other regions. Particularly in the international markets, the movie is having a splendid run. Sookshmadarshini is produced by cinematographers Shyju Khalid and Sameer Tahir, along with AV Anoop. The movie also features Deepak Parambol, Sidharth Bharathan, Merin Philip, Akhila Bhargavan, Pooja Mohanraj, and others in key roles.
