Bellamkonda Sreenivas and Anupama Parameswaran’s horror thriller Kishkindhapuri is set to hit the big screens on September 12. Koushik Pegallapati, known for Chaavu Kaburu Challaga, is the director, while Sahu Garapati of Shine Screens produced the film. Today, the theatrical trailer was launched at an event, and the promotional asset is receiving a positive response.
During the Q&A session, the producer was asked about the direct clash with Mirai. A reporter questioned whether the clash might affect the Kishkindhapuri team. Sahu Garapati replied, “You shouldn’t ask me this question. You should ask the team who chose to clash with us. They didn’t inform us that they were also releasing on the same date. You will get to know who suffers on the 12th, not now.”
That’s quite a bold statement and also an indirect jab at the opponent by Sahu Garapati. After Virupaksha, Telugu cinema hasn’t had a proper horror film. Let’s see if Kishkindhapuri can fill that void.
