Superstar Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie hit the screens on August 14, 2025. The film received mixed reviews from critics. After taking an earth-shattering opening at the box office, the biggie slowed down as word of mouth kicked in. King Nagarjuna, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, and Rachita Ram played important roles.
According to the latest media reports, Coolie is expected to have its digital premiere on September 11. Prime Video acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights of this biggie for a whopping price. Since the Hindi version had a release in national chains, it is expected to arrive on OTT eight weeks after its theatrical release.
An official confirmation is yet to be made by the digital platform. Coolie featured Aamir Khan and Pooja Hegde in special cameos. Produced by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures on a massive budget, the action drama featured Anirudh Ravichander’s music.
