Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra has turned out to be a massive success for Malayalam cinema. It was released on August 28, 2025, and audiences responded positively from the start. The film was later dubbed in Telugu and Tamil, helping it reach viewers beyond Kerala. Now, the makers are preparing for a Hindi release.
The Hindi version is set to release on September 4, 2025, confirmed by the Lokah team. With that, the film is looking to push its reach beyond the South and test the waters up North.
What’s interesting is that a few Bollywood names have already noticed it. Actors like Sharvari and Ishaan Khatter shared their thoughts, praising the attempt. That only adds to the curiosity. How the North Indian audience will actually respond, though, is something we’ll have to wait and watch. If it connects, Lokah could well turn into a real pan-India hit, and a big money-maker too.
Apart from Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead, the film has Neslan, Sunny Wayne, Tovino Thomas, and Dulquer Salmaan playing key roles. It’s produced by Wayfarer Films, while Jakes Bejoy has taken care of the music.
