Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty dropped some unexpected news about her business. Turns out, the popular Mumbai restaurant Bastian Bandra, which she co-owns, will be shutting down. Shetty shared the update on Instagram, saying September 4 (Thursday) will be the restaurant’s final day.
Now, she didn’t really explain why the place is closing. But of course, the internet has already started buzzing with theories. One strong rumour floating around links it to the controversy involving Shilpa and her husband, Raj Kundra. The two have been accused of being tied to a Rs. 60 crore loan-cum-investment mess that allegedly happened between 2015 and 2023.
Bastian actually opened way back in 2016, and then in 2023 it shifted to a bigger Bandra spot. Since then it kind of turned into a hangout for foodies and celebs. Now with the closure coming up… well, a lot of regulars aren’t taking it too well.
