Naga Chaitanya, a well-known Tollywood actor, has taken on a new role outside acting. He now owns the Hyderabad Blackbirds (HBB) motorsport racing team. This team has already made a name for itself in the Indian Racing League and is gearing up for the Formula 4 Indian Championship’s first season, organised by Racing Promotions Private Limited (RPPL).
Chaitanya’s love for motorsports, including Formula 1, supercars, and motorcycles, goes way back. His enthusiasm for the sport and the chance to contribute to Indian motorsport’s growth influenced his decision to invest in the racing team.
Chaitanya expressed his excitement, stating, “Being part of Motorsport has always been a dream of mine. I’m thrilled to be associated with the Hyderabad Blackbirds team. I believe the Indian Racing League is on its way to becoming a big name in Indian Motorsport, offering entertainment and a platform for young talents. I can’t wait for the upcoming street races, which will be a fantastic experience for viewers. With growing Motorsport awareness, it’s an exciting time to be part of it.”
In their debut Indian Racing League season, Hyderabad Blackbirds achieved significant success. Two standout drivers, Akhil Rabindra and Neel Jani, secured an impressive 1-2 finish in the Drivers’ Championship. As a team, HBB also secured second place in the Teams’ Championship. Now, they’re gearing up for the FIA-certified Formula 4 Indian Championship, attracting budding racers from around the world.
