Yesterday, Netflix announced through its app that Pushpa 2: The Rule would release on its OTT platform on January 30, 2025. The announcement appeared in the “Coming Soon” section, accessible only to app users. However, the announcement was later deleted, leaving fans confused.
Later that night, Netflix issued a fresh update, stating that Pushpa 2 is “coming soon” without specifying a release date. The platform confirmed the film’s availability in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages, but notably, there was no mention of a Hindi version.
Adding to the excitement, Netflix revealed that its version of Pushpa 2 will include 23 minutes of extra footage. When the film was first released in theaters on December 5, 2024, it had a runtime of 200 minutes. On January 17, 2025, the makers extended the runtime to 220 minutes by adding 20 minutes of additional footage. Now, Netflix’s version will feature 3 minutes of exclusive, unseen content (bringing the total runtime to 223 minutes), making it a must-watch for fans.
