Andhra King Taluka is the latest Telugu movie starring Ram Pothineni, Upendra and Bhagyashree Borse, directed by Mahesh Babu P. It was released yesterday with decent openings and is on track to become one of the biggest hits in Ram Pothineni’s career.
RaPo fans are very happy with the success. The film received strong footfalls with over 77,000 tickets reportedly sold in the last 24 hours (on BookMyShow). The movie is gaining momentum and is expected to continue through the weekend.
But fans noticed that ‘something’ was missing in the theatrical version. Everyone already knows that Ram Pothineni turned singer for this movie, and the song “Puppy Shame” was released online before the film’s release. However, the song is not included in the theatrical cut, and fans were surprised to see it missing on the big screen.
The film already runs for around two hours and forty-six minutes, and that may be one of the reasons the makers opted to remove the song to keep the pacing tighter. “Puppy Shame” is a teasing college number, and since the lyrical video is already available on YouTube, the team might have decided that it was not essential for the theatrical flow.
There is a chance that the song may be released separately as a full video or be added later in the OTT version for Ram Pothineni’s fans. We need to wait for official confirmation from Mythri Movie Makers and director Mahesh Babu P.
The movie also stars Rajeev Kanakala, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Rahul Ramakrishna and others in supporting roles. Vivek–Mervin composed the music, which is already receiving a good response from music lovers. How the film performs in the first weekend is now highly awaited.
