Devara: Part 1 brought Jr NTR and Siva Koratala together for the second time after Janatha Garage. The 2024 film worked well at the box office and ended with a clear hint at a follow-up titled Devara: Part 2.
Since yesterday, talk has picked up online that the sequel has been dropped. Some posts claim Siva Koratala did work on a new draft but Jr NTR supposedly felt the story was not landing right and looked a bit forced. A few others pushed back and said there is nothing serious behind these rumours.
Fans are still waiting for someone from the team to step in and clear things up. The delay feels even longer because Devara has not had its satellite premiere yet, even though it has been more than a year since the theatrical release.
Meanwhile, Tarak has moved ahead with Dragon, directed by Prashanth Neel. The next schedule is expected to start in December. Mythri Movie Makers is backing the project and Rukmini Vasanth plays the female lead.
