Akhil’s recently released spy thriller, Agent, has bitten the dust due to the poor script and execution. Even Akhil’s hard work couldn’t save the film since the reviews and word of mouth were not positive, leaving the film to be a colossal disaster at the box office. The collections that are being registered at the ticket counters have left the trade and fans in a state of utter shock.
In the Nizam region, on its third day, Agent collected an unbelievably low theatrical share of just about Rs 9 lakhs. The film’s three-day total Nizam share is Rs 1.60 Cr. Going by the latest trend, the film will incur heavy losses to its producers and buyers as the costs involved are quite high.
Agent collected a meagre share of Rs 45 lakhs in Andhra, Nizam and Ceded regions on its third day. The Surender Reddy directorial has been produced by himself in association with Anil Sunkara. Malayalam stalwart Mammootty played a key role in the movie.
