Sivakarthikeyan and AR Murugadoss’ action thriller Madharaasi ended up being an underperformer at the box office. The action drama had a good opening weekend, but later it slowed down significantly, collecting just Rs. 100 crores gross in its full run.
The movie recently made its OTT debut on Prime Video in multiple languages, and according to the latest update, Madharaasi is trending at the top spot on Prime Video India. This Sivakarthikeyan starrer is seeing strong viewership in the digital space, with netizens commenting that the film deserved more bucks at the box office. Particularly, the action sequences are being lauded by the OTT viewers.
Rukmini Vasanth played the leading lady, while Bollywood actor Vidyut Jammwal essayed the role of antagonist. Madharaasi is bankrolled by Sri Lakshmi Movies and features music by Anirudh Ravichandran. Biju Menon, Vikranth, Shabeer Kallarakkal, and Aadukalam Naren played supporting roles.
