After Geetha Govindam, young hero Vijay Deverakonda is yet to score a big blockbuster. His latest outing, Family Star, received heavy criticism and ended up as a massive box-office failure. Vijay is currently busy shooting his next project with Jersey fame Gowtham Tinnanuri.
Vijay Deverakonda is set to unite forces with young director Rahul Sankrityan once again. The word is that this new project will be a period film set in the Rayalaseema backdrop. Rahul Sankrityan and Vijay Deverakonda previously worked on the film Taxiwala, which was a commercial success. The project will be formally announced tomorrow on the occasion of Vijay Deverakonda’s birthday.
It is said that Vijay Deverakonda was impressed with Rahul’s narration and gave his nod immediately. Tollywood’s leading production house, Mythri Movie Makers, will bankroll the movie. Apart from these two films, Vijay recently okayed another project which will be directed by Ravi Kiran Kola of Raja Vaaru Raani Garu fame.
