Vijay Deverakonda and director Parasuram’s recent outing, Family Star, ended up being a huge disappointment both in terms of content and collections. Geetha Govindam, which came in the combination of Vijay and Parasuram, was a massive hit, and hence, the expectations were huge for Family Star right from the beginning.
The Family Star is currently available for streaming on Prime Video in Telugu and Tamil languages along with English subtitles. The movie made its digital debut just three weeks after its theatrical release. As the film didn’t get good collections, the makers went ahead with an early OTT release.
Mrunal Thakur played the leading lady opposite Vijay in this flick. Family Star also features Jagapathi Babu, Vasuki, Abhinaya, Divyansha Kaushik, and Vennela Kishore in pivotal roles. Ace producer Dil Raju bankrolled the film under Sri Venkateswara Creations, while Gopi Sundar provided the tunes.
