Released in 2004, Ghilli, the official Tamil remake of Mahesh Babu and Bhumika’s blockbuster action drama, Okkadu, went on to become a huge money-spinner at the box office like its predecessor. This week, after almost 2 decades since its theatrical release, Ghilli has made it to the silver screens once again as a Tamil New Year treat.
Needless to say, fans of Ghilli stars Vijay and Trisha are overjoyed to witness Ghilli recreate the same magic even after 20 years. Viral pictures and videos show fans going euphoric and dancing to hit songs near the screens. And Trisha has joined the celebrations by taking to her Instagram this afternoon.
“If this is not coming full circle I don’t know what is. Woke up to FDFS BLOCKBUSTER vibes AGAIN (sic),” Trisha posted, also sharing a viral video in which a large number of fans can be seen dancing near the screen. Both Trisha and Vijay shared screen in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s superhit action drama, Leo, last year.
