Young producer Naga Vamsi surprised everyone with a brand-new movie announcement. This time, it’s not a love story or an action drama, but a mythological tale based on the immortal Lord Hanuman.
The project was unveiled with a pre-look poster that revealed the title: Vayuputra. Chandoo Mondeti, fresh off the success of Thandel, will be directing the film.
While many expected his next venture to be Karthikeya 3, Chandoo Mondeti has instead chosen Vayuputra, which is already locked for a Dussehra 2026 release.
It seems that the massive success of Mahavatar Narsimha inspired Naga Vamsi to venture into a mythological animation feature with Vayuputra.
The film will be a fully animated spectacle, set to entertain audiences in both 2D and 3D formats across multiple Indian languages. Fortune Four Cinemas has teamed up with Sithara Entertainments as co-producer, and the project is currently in pre-production.
