On October 31, 2025, Amazon Prime Video is going to release India’s biggest grossing movie of the year Kantara: Chapter 1, directed and acted by Rishab Shetty. The Kannada movie that was released in multiple Indian languages has shattered records and people are eagerly waiting for its OTT debut.
Ahead of the OTT, the popular ticket-booking portal in India, BookMyShow, has officially revealed that more than 14 million tickets were sold on its platform for the movie. Even after entering the fourth week, the movie is still doing well at the box office in areas with over 70K tickets selling per day.
This is a phenomenal record the movie has created on the ticketing platform, and people can’t wait to see the mythological film that blends action, devotion, and folklore together.
Rukmini Vasanth played a negative role in this movie, alongside Gulshan Devaiah and Jayaram. Noted production house, Hombale Films, produced it. B. Ajaneesh Loknath’s music enchanted the film to another level.
