Today, a group of Telugu producers met with Kandula Durgesh, Minister for Cinematography, Government of Andhra Pradesh, in Vijayawada. The attendees included BVSN Prasad, DVV Danayya, KL Narayana, Bharath (Chamber President), Naga Vamsi, Yerneni Ravi Shankar, TG Vishwa Prasad, Cherry (Mythri Movies), Vamsi (UV Creations), Vivek Kuchibotla, and Sahu Garapati.

In the meantime, ace producer Dil Raju (FDC Chairman), Gemini Kiran, Prasanna Kumar, Damodhar Prasad, Supriya Yarlagadda, and Bhogavalli Bapineedu among others met Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Minister for Cinematography, Government of Telangana, to discuss the same.

During the meeting, the producers talked about the ongoing problems in the Telugu Film Industry, especially the strike by the Telugu Film Industry Employees’ Federation (TFIEF). The union is asking for a 30% wage hike, split as 10% per year over three years. On the other hand, the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce offered a conditional raise of 15-20% for lower-paid workers, but it came with conditions like 12-hour workdays and more flexible hiring. The TFIEF rejected this offer.

As of August 11, 2025, the strike has entered its eighth day, bringing all film shootings to a halt and causing major financial losses and delays in many projects. This meeting, held in the middle of all the chaos, made headlines. The producers are expected to speak to the media soon to share what was discussed and how the minister responded.
