Hollywood biggie Avatar: The Way of Water is doing good business in India. The film had mixed reviews, but it is the high technical values and visual effects that are making people flock to the cinema halls. Particularly in Telugu states, the film is having a splendid run.
The latest news is that the ticket rates will be reduced significantly for the 3D version in India starting tomorrow. For formats other than IMAX and 4DX, the fares would be set around Rs 150, which is a good move to bring in more audience. The 3D version, in particular, is driving the majority of collections, so this decision was taken.
However, James Cameron’s directorial venture needs a steady run across the globe to achieve breakeven status. The Christmas holiday season should help the film to an extent. Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Jemaine Clement, and Kate Winslet played pivotal roles in this high-budget movie.
