In a shocking turn of events, a Tamil film is being released directly on television, skipping the release in theatres and OTT. The film is named Pon Ondru Kanden, and it stars Ashok Selvan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Vasanth Ravi in the lead roles.

The film has been in the making for a long time, and it kept postponing due to multiple reasons. Colors Tamil announced that Pon Ondru Kanden will soon arrive on small screens. The shocking fact is that even the film’s cast and crew are unaware of this development.

Vasanth Ravi took to Twitter to express his disappointment. He added that the artists weren’t even informed about the same and demanded an explanation from Jio Studios, which produced the film. Lady director Priya V. Kamakshi helmed this project, which has the tunes of Yuvan Shankar Raja.
