Vishal starrer Rathnam recently hit the big screens but the movie bombed at the box office both in Tamil and Telugu. Hari, who has a knack for delivering masala entertainers, directed this flick, and Rathnam marked his third collaboration with Vishal after Bharani and Pooja. While fans expected a hat-trick, Rathnam ended up being a failure.
The movie received mixed reviews from critics and ultimately couldn’t make any impact. Rathnam is expected to make its OTT debut on May 24. Prime Video holds the post-theatrical streaming rights of this action drama. However an official announcement is yet to come from the streaming platform.
Priya Bhavani Shankar played the female lead. Samuthirakani, Yogibabu, and Gautham Vasudev Menon essayed crucial roles. Produced by Kaarthekeyen Santhanam under the banners of Zee Studios and Stonebench Films, the movie has its music by Devi Sri Prasad.
