Anushka Shetty’s Ghaati, directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, is set for a grand release this Friday. Krish and producer Rajeev Reddy are promoting the film, and now Anushka has stepped in to do her part. The icing on the cake is that Anushka Shetty has been joined by her Baahubali co-star Rana Daggubati in promoting the action drama.
Both celebrities took part in a lighthearted telephone conversation. Rana opined that Anushka is the best fit for intense action dramas. Anushka said, “The subject is so apt for the present day. The story is set on the Andhra–Odisha border. It is about a tribe that grows weed. Things came out organically. How a woman named Sheela became a criminal, and how she redeemed her wrongdoings and emerged as a legend, is what the movie is all about.”
Rana added, “Krish has a different sensibility. I met him during the post-production in Chennai. He is very excited about the film.” Anushka also made it clear that she will do more films in the future. The star actress wants to work only on strong scripts and cites this as the reason for appearing in fewer films.
