OTT: Blockbuster Kantara Chapter 1’s Hindi version streaming now on this digital platform

Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1, the prequel to the 2022 blockbuster Kantara, emerged as Indian cinema’s biggest grosser of the year, earning over Rs. 800 crores globally across languages. The movie received solid reviews from critics and audiences alike.

The South Indian versions started streaming on Prime Video from October 31, following the usual four-week theatrical window. Finally, the Hindi version is now up for streaming on Prime Video. Adhering to the guidelines set by the Multiplex Association of India (MAI), the film’s Hindi version arrived on OTT eight weeks after its theatrical release.

The dubbed Hindi version was a solid success in theatres, collecting over Rs. 200 crores nett. It won’t be an overstatement to say that the Hindi version’s performance greatly helped the film achieve mega success.

Rukmini Vasanth played the female lead, while Jayaram and Gulshan Devaiah appeared in vital roles. Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films bankrolled this action drama infused with divine elements. Ajaneesh Loknath composed the tunes.
