Nithiin’s latest action drama Thammudu has opened to a disastrous response at the box office. The film collected just Rs 2 crore net on day one, making it one of the weakest openings in the actor’s career.
With negative reviews and poor word-of-mouth, the film has failed to attract audiences. On the other hand, Netflix has bagged the OTT rights from Dil Raju for a fancy price.
The gossip is that Netflix has plans to stream Thammudu by the end of July 2025. That means the Nithiin film will be out on OTT within a month of its release.
The early OTT release may help the film find a second life digitally, but theatrically, it has ended up as a major disappointment for fans and makers alike.
