Thalapathy Vijay’s latest release, Leo, is a huge money spinner. The action drama directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj collected more than 550 crores at the worldwide box office and is still doing solid business.
Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments, who distributed the film in Telugu, spoke about its box office performance. Naga Vamsi said, “We have nothing to do with Leo’s content. We believed in the combination and bought the rights. There were complaints about the second half, but the youth went gaga over the film. We received good revenues, and distributors are happy, and so am I.”
Despite mixed reviews, Leo is turning out to be a profitable venture for all the parties involved. A few are opining that Leo could have gone past 2.0’s worldwide collections had there been unanimous word of mouth.
