Mollywood has been delivering notable crime thrillers recently, and Officer on Duty, starring Kunchacko Boban, is one such film. Directed by Jithu Ashraf, the movie is now set for its Telugu and Tamil releases.

The Telugu and Tamil versions are scheduled to release tomorrow (Friday, March 14, 2025), and bookings have opened everywhere except in multiplexes. The multiplex chains have refused to screen the film, as the Malayalam version was released on February 20, 2025, and is set to make its OTT debut later this month in multiple languages. Due to this, they are unwilling to play the movie in their theaters. It remains to be seen how this issue will be resolved.

The movie is being released by Mythri Movie Distributors LLP, and it is yet to be seen whether multiplexes in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will reconsider their decision. Stay tuned for further updates.
