Anupama – Commercial films are excused, female-centric films aren’t

Paradha, headlined by Anupama Parameswaran and directed by Praveen Kandregula, released in theatres last Friday. The women-centric film received mixed reviews from critics. Today, the team held a “Thank You Meet,” where the actress made some noteworthy remarks.

Anupama Parameswaran said, “If it’s a commercial film, people let go of a thousand mistakes. Since Paradha is a women-centric film, people expect it to be perfect and watch it with a magnifying glass. I don’t call it a mistake, but there should be appreciation for the effort we put into making something new. I am proud of being part of Paradha.”

Director Praveen Kandregula added, “Every film has flaws. I accept that the second half has mistakes, but there are also good aspects of the movie that are not being discussed. Please don’t write off the film. Paradha is a slow poison. We made a beautiful movie, and I strongly believe it will have a turnaround at the box office.”
