Not even the team of Manjummel Boys in their wildest dreams thought that their film will collect more than 200 crores gross and emerge as the Mollywood industry hit. Manjummel Boys is a perfect example to show that good films are always lapped up by the audience. The Telugu version too became a commercial success with over 10 crores gross.
Here is the update you have all been waiting for. Manjummel Boys will make its digital debut on May 5 on Disney Plus Hotstar. The streaming platform has officially confirmed the same. The update also reveals that the film will be available in Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Kannada languages from the said date. The gap between theatrical and OTT release is 74 days.
Set in 2006, the movie is based on the real-life experience of young men from a place called Manjummel who rescued their friend trapped in Kodaikanal’s Guna cave. Directed by Chidambaram, the survival thriller stars Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Basi, Balu Varghese, Ganapati S Poduval, Jean Paul Lal, Deepak Parambol, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, and Arjun Kurian in vital roles. Babu Shahir, Soubin Shahir, and Shawn Antony produced the movie under the Parava Films banner. Sushin Shyam composed the tunes.
