On the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the makers of Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, a biopic on the legendary warrior queen Jhansi Laxmibai, unveiled the film’s teaser. The teaser is inspiring, impactful and showcases Kangana Ranaut taming the British forces in a bloody battle.
Manikarnika’s teaser starts off with Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan’s baritone voice, narrating how the British stepped on the Indian soil and how oppressed Indians revolted against the power hungry English forces. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy’s rousing background score and spectacularly shot battle sequences are the major highlights in the teaser.
Amid controversies, Manikarnika’s makers cleared the air and gave Tollywood director Krish the credit as the director of the movie. Manikarnika is slated for release on January 25. Zee Studios and Kamal Jain have jointly produced this magnum opus in association with Nishant Pitti.
