Almost all Mahesh Babu movies that were re-released in the past few months ended up being huge money-spinners at the box office. Joining the bandwagon now is Superstar’s superhit family drama, Murari. The Krishna Vamsi directorial was released in cinemas in 2001, and it was a huge success.
Murari is all set for its re-release in 4K resolution on August 9, to coincide with Mahesh Babu’s birthday. And the latest updates reveal that Murari has set a new record in terms of pre-sales for any Telugu film that has been re-released till date in the twin Telugu states. Apparently, Murari has become the fastest Telugu movie to collect Rs 50 lakhs from pre-sales till Saturday (Aug 3). With 6 more days left for the re-release, the film is sure to make more money from the advance bookings.
Also starting Bollywood actress Sonali Bendre, Prakash Raj, Lakshmi, and popular actors, Murari was jointly produced by N Devi Prasad, Ramalingeswara Rao, and Gopi Nandigam. The film’s audio album, composed by Manisharma, still has a huge fan base.
