Tamil director Vignesh Shivan’s next film is Love Insurance Company, with Pradeep Ranganathan and Krithi Shetty in the lead roles. SJ Suryah plays the villain in this futuristic love story set in 2040.
The teaser, titled First Punch, was released on Vinayaka Chavithi. Set in Chennai of the future, the film shows a world that is technologically advanced but where love still remains central.
The hero falls for Dheema (Krithi Shetty) at first sight, but she is not interested in the fleeting “situationships” and “textationships” that define relationships in 2040. She wants something simple and lasting. Standing in their way is Suriyan (SJ Suryah), owner of Love Insurance Kompany, a powerful dating platform. Why he stops them and what his true motives are will be known when the movie releases on October 17, 2025.
The teaser suggests a light, playful mix of romance, comedy, and futuristic touches. The cast also includes Yogi Babu, Seeman, Gouri Kishan, Shah Rah, and Malavika. Music is by Anirudh, and the film is produced by Nayanthara, SS Lalit Kumar, and L.K. Vishnu Kumar.
