Mollywood stalwart Mohanlal is celebrating his 64th birthday today. On this special occasion, the makers of Lalettan’s upcoming pan-India action drama, L2 Empuraan, unveiled a special birthday poster. Dressed in a black jacket and jeans, Mohanlal exudes his trademark swag and style in a salt and pepper look as he walks through an army of armed men.
L2: Empuraan is being directed by Mollywood star Prithviraj Sukumaran. Mohanlal plays the role of a mafia boss named Khureshi Ab’raam in the movie. The film is a sequel to Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s 2019 blockbuster action drama, Lucifer. Mohanlal reprises his role as Khureshi Ab’raam aka Stephen Nedumpally in the movie.
L2: Empuraan also has Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Sai Kumar, and Sachin Khedekar reprising their roles from Lucifer. The new movie is being jointly produced under Aashirvad Cinemas and Lyca Productions banners. The film is set to release in 2025.
