National Award-winning actor Allu Arjun’s recently released action drama, Pushpa 2: The Rule, is doing phenomenal business at the global box office. Pushpa 2 has emerged as the fastest Indian movie to amass over a whopping Rs 449 crore worldwide in 2 days. Pushpa makers interacted with the media this evening to celebrate the film’s massive success.
Speaking at the event, Allu Arjun thanked the Chief Ministers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, Revanth Reddy and Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Cinematography ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Kandula Durgesh, and AP Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan for approving the ticket price hike in both states. Allu Arjun made his speech a bit personal by saying, “On a personal note, Kalyan Babai, thank you so much.”
Following Pawan Kalyan and Kandula Durgesh’s timely assistance, the government of Andhra Pradesh had issued a memo, allowing 6 shows of the film on December 05. Furthermore, the ticket prices for “lower class” were hiked by Rs 100 and up to Rs 150 for higher class, and up to Rs 200 for multiplexes from December 6 to December 17. The ticket prices have been set at Rs 324.50 and Rs 413 (including GST) in Andhra Pradesh.
