India’s numero uno director SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali is more than just a two-part movie franchise. Starring Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah, and others in lead roles, both movies redefined Telugu cinema and placed Indian cinema on the global map.
Senior Tollywood actor Nagarjuna had praised the Baahubali franchise on several occasions in the past. In a recent interview with Deccan Chronicle, he said, “I wish Rajamouli had offered me something in Baahubali. I’ve always wanted to do a lavish costume drama or period film, stories about lost kingdoms, kings in exile, and ethereal princesses. I love Hollywood spectacles like Troy and 300,” said the 66-year-old actor.

Nag’s compelling performance as a menacing antagonist named Simon has earned him praise from all quarters. Buoyed by the success, Nag said he is game to signing more interesting projects in other languages. Nag is all set to launch his prestigious 100th project.
