National Crush Rashmika Mandanna, fresh off the success of Thamma, is currently promoting her upcoming film The Girlfriend, directed by Rahul Ravindran and co-starring Dheekshith Shetty.

In a recent interview, Rashmika weighed in on the ongoing debate over the 8-hour workday in the film industry. She called overworking “highly not suggestible” and “not sustainable,” urging everyone to prioritize their health and well-being.

The actress admitted she often overworks out of a sense of responsibility toward her team but said she wishes the industry would adopt fixed working hours similar to a 9-to-6 schedule to help maintain a healthier work-life balance for actors and crew alike.

The 8-hour workday discussion gained traction after Deepika Padukone reportedly exited Spirit due to scheduling issues, and Rashmika is the latest star to share her views.

The Girlfriend hits theaters on November 7, 2025, and the actress is confident of its box office success.
