Shaktimaan is an iconic Indian superhero television show that aired on Doordarshan. Bollywood legend Mukesh Khanna played the titular role. A film adaptation has been in development for the past few years. Malayalam actor-filmmaker Basil Joseph, who directed the critically acclaimed superhero film Minnal Murali, was roped in to direct this ambitious project.
The director planned to make Shaktimaan with Hindi star Ranveer Singh. The Ram Leela actor’s name has been attached to the project for a long time. However, recent speculations suggested that Icon Star Allu Arjun might replace Ranveer Singh in this superhero saga, taking everyone by surprise.
In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, Basil Joseph has now dismissed the rumors about casting Allu Arjun. He firmly stated that Shaktimaan will be made only with Ranveer Singh, putting an end to all the baseless chatter.
