Rishab Shetty’s latest PAN-Indian action drama Kantara: Chapter 1 is running successfully at the ticket windows. Despite several new releases in Telugu and Tamil, Kantara 1 is still holding its ground by collecting decent numbers.
In Hindi, the film has surpassed the Rs. 175 crore nett mark by Sunday, which is a fantastic achievement for a Kannada-language film. Tomorrow, two Hindi films, Thamma and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, are arriving in theatres, and the reports of these two films will decide the lifetime collection of Kantara.
It seems like Kantara 1 might fall short of the Rs. 200 crore club in Hindi, but nonetheless, the movie has already done solid business in the Hindi belt. Produced by Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films, the film stars Rukmini Vasanth and Gulshan Devaiah in prominent roles, with music composed by Ajaneesh Loknath.
