Kiran Abbavaram’s latest outing K-Ramp is performing well in theatres and is nicely utilising the Diwali festive season. The rom-com entertainer marked the directorial debut of Jains Nani, while Yukti Thareja played the female lead.
The movie was awarded an A certificate, and many wondered why the censor board issued an 18+ rating to this Kiran Abbavaram starrer. Some thought it might be due to the romantic sequences, but at the success meet, the producer revealed the actual reason.
Razesh Danda said, “Not all A-rated films have cuss words. There is a scene in the heroine’s childhood portions where her relatives say they will commit suicide as they couldn’t keep up their word. The censor board felt children might be disturbed by it and asked us to remove the scene. Since our film is all about that aspect, we didn’t agree and eventually went ahead with an A certificate.”
