Bollywood has not been able to deliver successful films continuously, which they used to do before the pandemic. Only selective films are performing well, and this isn’t a great sign for the industry. Even movies with good reviews are ending up as failures due to the lack of a wow factor in them.
The latest to join the list is Ayushman Khurrana’s An Action Hero. Despite getting solid reviews from critics, the movie shocked everyone by underperforming. As per the trade, the movie has clocked in the range of 1.25-1.5 crores which is absolutely below the standards.
A few opine that promotions of An Action Hero are not up to the mark, and hence there were no takers for the movie. The movie needs to pick up over the weekend to post a. reasonable total. Recently Varun Dhawan starrer Bhediya too disappointed with its below-par collections despite having good promotions. With this scenario, Drishyam 2 is again set to lead the weekend box office.
