Young Tollywood star Teja Sajja’s recently released fantasy drama, Mirai, has emerged as a stupendous blockbuster at the global box office. The film is inching closer to the prestigious $3 million milestone at the North American box office.
On Saturday, Mirai collected a cool $55K gross in the USA and Canada, taking its total gross to $2.98 million. The film is all set to join the $3M club on Sunday. With Mirai, Teja Sajja has scripted history by becoming the third Tollywood star to mass back-to-back $3M after Prabhas and NTR.
Worldwide, Mirai is nearing the Rs 150 crore mark. The film’s massive success has cemented Teja Sajja’s position as one of the most bankable stars in Tollywood. Also starring Manchu Manoj, Ritika Nayak, Shriya Saran, Jagapathi Babu, and others in prominent roles, Mirai is directed by Karthik Ghattamaneni and produced by TG Vishwa Prasad.
