Leading Tollywood star NTR was the chief guest at the pre-release event for the Telugu version of Kantara Chapter 1. The film features National Award-winning Sandalwood star Rishab Shetty, while the gorgeous Rukmini Vasanth plays the female lead.
Speaking at the event, NTR was all praise for the Kantara franchise. “When I was 3, my grandmother told me many wonderful fables. She told me that our village was near Kundapura. I used to wonder if those stories were real. I was curious about the Fuliga and Panjurli. Never did I imagine that all those stories would be made into a movie. My brother Rishab made it possible,” said the Dragon star.
Showering praises on Rishab Shetty, NTR said, “Rishab is a very rare actor-director. He neither dominates the actor in him nor the director, but he dominates all 24 crafts of filmmaking. No one else but only Rishab could have made it possible. Thanks to Rishab, I could fulfill my mother’s wish to visit the Lord Krishna temple in Udupi. He treated me like his family member,” said the Young Tiger.
At the beginning of his speech, NTR told his fans that he may not deliver his speech with full energy like before due to his recent injury. Produced by Vijay Kiragandur, Kantara Chapter 1 is gearing up for its theatrical release on October 2.
